December 21, 2009

Well, Christmas is almost here. Those of you who celebrate it, are you ready? I'm not sure we are, but we're looking forward to it anyway. The shop will be closed on December 24th and 25th, but we will be open on Saturday, December 26th. We will also be closed on January 1, 2010, but we will be open on December 31st.

After Christmas Sale

On Saturday, December 26th, the shop will be open, and we will have all our Christmas fabric marked down. This is a great time to stock up for next year's Christmas gifts, or just get a little something for yourself. Stop by and see us, or check the website on the 26th to take advantage of this sale.

Block of the Month

abundance

We have a fun new block of the month program starting in February. Abundance is from The Vintage Spool and measures 60" x 67". We'll be using homespuns and reproduction fabrics rather than the fabrics shown in the pattern. You can see the first four blocks on our site, here.

New Fabrics

folklore

Folklore by Whistler Studios for Windham - Folk culture is most oftern defined by the tradition and authentic spirit that make up the identity of a people. During the rise of the 19th century the Romantic ideal of nationalism led to a newfound admiration for traditional values for the purpose of modern goals. The long history of Folklore and its association with mythology give it a vibrant and whimsical quality. The bold colors and patterns of The Folklore Collection and the quilts that they create are as varied and full of life as the stories that they tell. See the entire line here.

tanyard

Tanyard Creek by Little Quilts for Henry Glass - The colors are gorgeous! Very versatile for appliquers and repro quilters or to act as accents in fall color quilts. There are new shirting designs in this line as well. You can see the whole line here.

signature

Signature Quilt by Jo Morton for Andover - We always love Jo's fabrics, and this line is no exception. These fabrics will make any quilt look warm and cozy. Click here to see the line.
