Common Threads can organize your retreat for you or you can join one
of our retreats. The retreats are held at
"Our House" in Milford, Texas
(about 25 miles south of our shop). This retreat center opened in
January 2008. It is located in a tranquil country setting and the
hosts are truly gracious. They really take care of you.
Retreats can be organized for
up to 30 quilters. Call us

"Our House" directly.
Read what our retreat alumni have to say:
"The best 48 hours a quilter can have.
These are the feelings you get during a retreat. True sisterhood,
new life long friends are made, definite inspiration from what other
people are doing, restful (you work at your own pace, want to take a
nap, do it, etc) new ideas and helpful hints from everyone,
spiritual uplifting, and a new love for quilting that I didn't
realize was possible. When I go to a retreat I feel like I have a
new family. True understanding of my passion. These friends I have
made are close friends and loved ones now. I leave spiritually and
mentally awakened and my husband sees the new rested me. He even
loves the retreats haha." P.H.
"Quilt retreat is a great experience
and I have met so many wonderful people through Common Threads and
the retreats it sponsors. Each retreat is a chance to visit with
ladies I don't see very often We spend the time sewing, talking,
laughing, and learning!" L.J.C.
"I always look forward to Common
Thread retreats. It is a weekend to get totally away from daily
responsibility and do something that I really love. I have made many
new friends at each retreat, and I am inspired by each one's talent,
skill, and shared passion for quilting as I watch the projects
progress through the weekend. A lot of knowledge, as well as
laughter, is shared, and we feel pampered by the meals prepared for
us and comfortable rooms." M.J.
